NEW DELHI, March 11

ROCKWELL Automation India Ltd (RAIL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of US-based Rockwell Automation, will be setting up its first Centre of Excellence outside the US in India, the company announced here today.

The investment required will be to the tune of $2 million and the centre is expected to employ around 60 persons.

It will mobilise employees to support customers worldwide in addition to serving as a hub for the company's Asia-Pacific operations, according to Mr Ron Wichter, Senior Vice-President of the company.

The company was also planning to open a few more centres of excellence in Europe and North America though the details were yet to be finalised, Mr Wichter said.
