LPG prices to be rolled back?

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: THE Government is reviewing the possibility of a roll back of the hike in the price of LPG to Rs 40 per cylinder.

Mr Ram Naik said: "The Prime Minister is open to discussing such issues. He will certainly look into it. A final decision on any roll back in the price of LPG will be taken by the Prime Minister.''

The price of LPG was hiked by Rs 40 per cylinder in the Union Budget for 2002-03.

The BJP MP, Mr V.K. Malhotra, recently met the Prime Minister and asked him to review the price hike.
