Raunaq Singh no longer MD of Apollo Tyres

NEW DELHI, March 6

APOLLO Tyres has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that the present term of appointment of Mr Raunaq Singh as Managing Director of the company came to an end on March 5.

His appointment as Managing Director was approved by the board at its meeting held on June 10, 1996 and by shareholders at their annual general meeting held on September 20, 1996 for a period of five years.

The company has, however, informed BSE that Mr Singh would continue to be a director and Non-Executive Chairman of the board of directors, liable to retire by rotation.
