KOCHI, Feb. 19

THE Institution of Engineers (India), Kochi local centre, is organising a regional workshop on strengthening the programme for engineering associations in India on Wednesday.

According to an official release, the programme would aim at professional engineers and their associations in attaining international recognition besides enabling them to develop their professional engineering standards and provide greater local engineering inputs for development programmes.

This would involve analysis of the current operations of the local professional engineering organisations and a move to strengthen and upgrade the international systems and quality standards.
