Easy exit route for dormant ISPs

NEW DELHI, Feb. 15

THE Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Friday unveiled an easy exit route for Internet service providers (ISPs) that are yet to start their services despite holding a licence.

According to an official statement, such companies can surrender their licences by paying a penalty equivalent to five per cent of the performance bank guarantee.
