Software Industry & Economy - Industry Associations Nasscom signs MoU with Italian association Our Bureau
Mr Phiroz Vandrevala, Nasscom Chairman, with Dr Antonio Emmanueli, President, SMAU, Italy, at the signing of an MoU in Mumbai on Thursday.
MUMBAI, Feb. 7 NATIONAL Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Italy's association for information and communication technologies - Ente Gestione Mostre Comufficio (SMAU) - to promote trade between the two countries. As part of the MoU, both the organisations will jointly explore cooperative projects for developing the ICT industry in both countries. "This agreement will help the Indian IT industry to address the South European market in which we have a negligible presence at present. It is a step towards expanding our geographical reach,'' Mr Phiroz Vandrevala, Chairman, Nasscom, said at a press meet held at the sidelines of Nasscom 2002.
