HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation plans to open restaurants at places of tourist importance. The department also will be organising cultural programmes such as ghazals at those spots.

`Mahtaab', a restaurant built at the cost of Rs 40 lakh, was opened by Minister for Tourism Srinivas Yadav at the historic Qutb Shahi tombs. He said the department had recruited and trained young men to serve as tourist police to guide tourists in the State. This was done as a pilot project on the lines of the one in Rajasthan.
