Oilseeds & Edible Oil Edible oils rule quiet Our Bureau
MUMBAI: Prices ruled quiet for edible oils on the local oilseeds market on Monday. Castorseed futures ruled quiet but spot prices were steady in moderate activity. In edible oils, groundnut oil eased from Rs 367 to Rs 363 per 10 kg on slack demand and quiet Saurashtra advices. Rajkot tin of 15 kg was offered Rs 5 lower at Rs 530. Palmolein on slack activity receded to Rs 286, against the previous level of Rs 289. Cottonseed refined was steady at Rs 304.Castorseed February lacked activity. The April contract opened at Rs 1,176, a rupee down from the previous close and in the absence of fresh support drifted to the low of Rs 1,167 and on bear covering recovered partially to close at Rs 1,171 per quintal. Groundnut oil was offered a rupee lower at Rs 369 per 10 kg. RBD February was offered Rs 3 lower at Rs 286 and March Rs 2.50 at Rs 290.
