More PNB branches to accept DCA fees

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, Jan. 25

THE Department of Company Affairs (DCA) has engaged the services of 15 additional branches of Punjab National Bank (PNB) for acceptance of fees from companies in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the State of Haryana for filing their balance-sheet, other documents and annual return with the Registrar of Companies (RoC) in Delhi.

In a circular issued to the chambers of commerce representing companies in Delhi and Haryana, the DCA said the companies may deposit the fees by way of challan in PNB's branches but documents are to be filed in the RoC's office on or before the prescribed last date (30 days in respect of balance-sheet and other documents and 60 days in respect of annual return). In case of late filing of the documents, additional fees will be levied as per the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956.

Other procedure and head of account will remain the same in the earlier order of October 30, 1976, issued by DCA.
