Acer launches new notebook

BANGALORE: Acer has announced a sub Rs 60,000 notebook in India priced at Rs 59,990. The new TravelMate 212 TX mobile PC targeted at the SME sector, is powered by the Intel Celeron 800 MHz processor using 128MB RAM.

It comes with a large 14.1'' TFT, a fully integrated 10GB HDD and inbuilt modem. TravelMate's advanced power management design offers a battery life of two and half hours.

The new model comes with one year International Travelers Warranty and is preloaded with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, and a range of software for improved productivity and user convenience.

Acer was also the first to break the sub Rs 80,000 and sub Rs 70,000 barriers.
