Software Corporate - Alliances & Joint Ventures Geometric Software pact with Dassault Our Bureau

MUMBAI, Jan. 23 GEOMETRIC Software Solutions Ltd on Wednesday announced setting up of a joint-venture company 3d PLM Software Solutions with Dassault Systems (DS), a Nasdaq-listed French multinational for software development for the DS group of companies. The new company will have an initial equity based of Rs 1.3 crore of which Geometric and DS will hold 70 and 30 per cent respectively. 3d PLM Software Solutions will be subsidiary of Geometric Software. Announcing the joint venture here, Mr Manu Parpia, Managing Director, Geometric said, ``We believe this joint venture reinforces our strategy to build expertise in the PLM space, while seeking to build alliances with market leaders''. Mr Bruno Latchague, Executive Vice-President (R&D), DS said, ``Geometric has greatly contributed to the success of different brands through an outstanding partnership.''
