NEW DELHI: The sixth Auto Expo 2002 has generated $218,000 of export orders for Indian companies despite the international slowdown, the Confederation of Indian Industry said in a statement here on Saturday.

An additional 1,061 export enquiries have been generated and these are expected to materialise into orders worth $742,000 in the near future. Domestic orders booked are to the tune of Rs 3.5 crore. A further 109,058 enquiries, which could translate into orders of about Rs 1.25 crore, were also registered.
