NEW DELHI, Jan. 18

DILIP Chhabria Design Pvt Ltd (DC Design) said on Friday that it had launched its super bus `Lextran Orion'.

DC Design currently has a fully-integrated manufacturing facility for bus bodies at Silvassa, Gujarat, and has a current capacity of 10 bus bodies a month.

The company plans to double its manufacturing capacity by middle of this year.

``While South India has been traditionally a strong market for buses, the company is planning to aggressively seek other markets,'' Mr Dilip Chhabria, Managing Director and CEO of DC Design, said in a statement.

The Lextran Orion has a steel tubular body with aluminium skin construction. It is a 34-seater bus on the Ashok Leyland platform.
