FAO workshop on farming systems

HYDERABAD: The Food and Agriculture Organisation and the Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) here are jointly organising a five-day `Expert group consultation on farming systems and best practices for drought-prone areas in Asia and the Pacific' from January 21.

The objective of the workshop is to develop guidelines for strengthening farming systems in drought prone areas of Asia and the Pacific region. Representatives from Australia, China, Indonesia, Iran, Sri Lanka and India will be taking part in the event, according to a CRIDA press release.
