NEW DELHI, Jan. 17.

CONSULTANCY and training organisation NIS Sparta Ltd has entered into an alliance with Marketing & Research Team (MART) to provide a rural marketing and micro enterprise solutions package to NGOs, development organisations and corporates.

The alliance will focus on providing rural marketing solutions for capacity building, training and marketing of rural products. With corporates, the alliance will work to train employees on effective marketing techniques for rural India.

"Our assessment of the market size in terms of expenditure in the area of rural training is Rs 200 crore annually. Two facets of this expenditure are the training needs of corporates for marketing their products in rural India, and training requirements of development organisations with the objective of enhancing their efficacy of their spends in rural areas," Mr Sanjeev Duggal, President, NIS Sparta, told newspersons here on Thursday, at a press conference to announce the alliance between the two organisations.

According to Mr Pradeep Kashyap, President, MART, the tie-up with NIS Sparta would enable MART to scale its operations in the rural sector and forge successful partnerships between corporates and rural self help groups.
