Events 3-day agriculture fair in AP Our Bureau
VIJAYAWADA: A hi-tech agriculture trade fair titled `Andhra Agri.Com 2002' will be organised here in the Swaraj Maidan from January 24-27. The fair, sponsored by the local Agrigold group and supported by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, aims at creating new opportunities by featuring a wide range of technologies, equipment and machinery related to agriculture and by enabling interaction between farmers and industrialists from different regions of the country and abroad, according to a press release. The focus of the fair would be on food processing, post-harvest technology, drip and sprinkler irrigation, exports and marketing facilities, sericulture, poultry and organic farming. More than 200 companies were expected to participate in the fair and seminars on different topics would be organised to educate farmers, the release added.
