Coffee Corporate - Performance Allana Sons is top coffee exporter Our Bureau
BANGALORE: Allana Sons Ltd emerged as the top coffee exporter during 2000-01. The company exported a total quantity of 25,641.5 tonnes, made up of 12,189 tonnes of arabicas and 13,451.7 tonnes of robusta. Last year, the company had exported 25,342.9 tonnes and was the second largest exporter. Allana has been exploring new markets, especially the speciality coffee markets. The company has supplied 1,500 tonnes of speciality coffee to customers. It is also getting an award from the Coffee Board for being the top exporter of speciality coffee and the top exporter to Far East and West Asian countries.
