Rubber prices improve

KOTTAYAM: There was all round improvement in the rubber market as buyers have started appearing for making purchases, though modest. Sheet rubber and block rubber improved as traders came forward to offer better prices to attract quick supply to service orders on hand. Latex market has been buoyant in recent days on account of supply crunch.

RSS 4 improved to Rs 25.75 compared to Rs 25.50 per kg on Thursday. Both RSS 5 and ungraded rubber improved by 25 paise to Rs 24.25 and Rs 23.75 per kg and block rubber ISNR 20 firmed up by 50 paise to Rs 24.50 per kg. Latex 60 per cent firmed up to Rs 27.00 in place of Rs 26.50 per kg on Thursday as supply was not adequate to meet the demand.
