B.H. Singhania is new Vice-Chairman of JK Corp

NEW DELHI, Dec. 30
THE board of JK Corp Ltd has given its nod for the elevation of Mr Bharat Hari Singhania to the post of Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Rs 42-crore cement company.
Mr Singhania was hitherto holding the position of Managing Director of JK Corp, which has an installed capacity of 2.4 million tonnes of cement per year.
According to sources, the board has also approved the appointment of Ms Vinita Singhania as a Managing Director of the Company.Ms Singhania was until recently the Deputy Managing Director of JK Corp Ltd
The new management level changes were approved on Friday at a meeting of the board of directors. JK Corp had in September this year announced the completion of transfer of its paper business as a going concern to The Central Pulp Mills Ltd (CPM). CPM has
been renamed as JK Paper Ltd.
Sources also held that Mr Harsh Pati Singhania, who is a Deputy Managing Director of JK Corp Ltd, is expected to relinquish his post and step down from the board from January 1.
Mr Harsh Pati Singhania is currently a director on the Board of the Rs 610-crore JK Paper.
Mr Harsh Pati Singhania is likely to assume the office of Managing Director of JK Paper during the first week of January.
The board of JK Paper had appointed Mr Harsh Pati Singhania, Director of the company, as Managing Director for a period of five years from December 1, 2001 or such other date on which he may assume office.
