Minimum support prices -- Reinforce, reform and expand
IT IS IMPORTANT to eliminate obstacles to economic growth. It is more important to reinforce policies that promote economic confidence and growth. The minimum support price (MSP) policy is not an obstacle to growth. The MSP is a critical policy component
of the Indian economy and can promote confidence and strong economic growth. It can generate broadly diffused purchasing power, health and wealth. The MSP deserves energetic reinforcement and enthusiastic reform and expansion.

Seamless supply chain -- Handling materials the smarter way
WITH the end of the permit-licence raj, the endless waiting on the corridors of DGTD, CCI & E and such other power centres is now a thing of the past. Even the obsession with paperwork, writing long notes and explanations all of which delayed not only
for processing but also the tracing of files are giving way to computers that complete the task quickly and efficiently. Speed is the name of the game.

Rules and transgressions -- Punishment without appeal?
ACCORDING to the theory of utilitarianism, society is governed by a set of rules that are expected to yield greater utility to individuals in a society than would have been the case without the rules. Here, each individual is deemed equal to all others i
n relevant respects.
Ill-mannered VIPs
WHAT comes over a normal, supposedly decent, human being the moment he sits in a chair in an office from that of the President and CEO to the peon and messenger boy? Why does he behave in such an inconsiderate, heartless, arrogant and high-handed manner
with fellow human beings in whose service he is appointed and in whose name he is paid?
