SBI Home to issue pref shares
ORDINARY shareholders of SBI Home Finance Ltd (SHFL), at the 13th annual general meeting held here on Saturday, authorised the company's board to issue and allot fresh equity shares to an extent of Rs 85 crore with a face value of Rs 10 each. The entire issue is to be made on a preferential basis to institutional shareholders.

Granules India plans more products
GRANULES India Ltd (GIL), the Hyderabad-based Rs 62-crore pharmaceutical company specialising in granulation, a step before the finished dosage form, has firmed up plans to expand its product offerings and also enhance granulation capacity.

Liberty fest in Dubai
LIBERTY Shoes Ltd, in its bid to promote the `Made in India' label abroad, is organising a fashion festival to present the `Best of India' in Dubai on September 27.

Bell Ceramics plans expansion
BELL Ceramics is now concentrating on expansion into what it calls `B & C class towns'. The company has said that this foray has yielded dividends and that it has recorded a two-fold growth in the sale of wall and floor tiles.

The presence of corporates such as Reliance in the same field and having three disparate groups as promoters make the job even more challenging for Mr Richard B. Saldanha, Managing Director of HPL.

Al-Lan to start production from Oct
AL-LAN Texknit Processors Private Ltd (ATPPL), promoted by the Chennai-based leather and garment exporting group A.I. Enterprises, is set to start commercial production from its new textile processing plant in Erode district from the first week of Octobe r.
