17 pvt sector port projects cleared so far
THE private sector participation, involving capacity creation and huge requirement of funds for the development of major ports, has taken off with 17 private sector projects with an investment of about Rs 4,526.5 crore and capacity addition of about 60.0 5 million tonnes (m.t.) having already been approved so far.

Gulf passenger ship docks at Kochi
AS PART of commencing a regular cruise between India and various Gulf countries, the first-ever passenger ship, m.v. Al Salam Tabai 1, arrived at the Kochi port on Monday morning from Doha.

Chennai terminal workers on `go slow' again
