Slowdown in India's fiscal growth: BIS
THE Bank for International Settlements (BIS) said India's growth slowed down to six per cent in 2000, against 6.6 per cent in 1999 and an average of 6.4 per cent between 1993-98.

BIS stock-taking of the world financial system
THE world financial system has undergone a protracted spell of deregulation as well as consolidation with the world economy currently in the midst of a slowdown in activity. The time is thus ripe for an assessment of underlying risks and rewards for all financial market players.
