Tea
Steady demand for leaf tea at Guwahati auction
FAIR demand prevailed for CTC categories here last week but it slackened with progress of the sale. All Assams witnessed an irregularly lower market following decline in quality especially in case of higher priced teas. Poor leaf and end season descript ions also saw some withdrawals. But selected good leaf and well-sized larger brokens were steady at times. Cachars also witnessed a similar trend and levels were lower in line with quality.
