India Today renames e-newspaper

NEW DELHI, Jan. 30
THE India Today Group Online (ITGO) on Tuesday formally announced the change in name of its e-newspaper to TheNewspaperToday.com from TheNewsToday.com.
The name change happened due to a legal dispute between the India Today Group and the Chennai-based News Today over the usage of the earlier domain name, www.thenewstoday.com.
An ITGO spokesperson said, ``While the dispute has been settled, as responsible corporate citizens, we immediately abided by all the orders of the Madras High Court order. And without prolonging the issue, we re-named our e-newspaper TheNewspaperToday so
that we can keep our commitment of delivering news, as and when it happens, to our readers.''
The company said that the e-newspaper has already become popular and that the site has been chosen as the `site of the week' by www.thepaperboy.com, the global information portal on international media.
