Copper: Fundamentals still sound
THE international prices of copper have been on a roller coaster for the past four months. Between September and November, copper prices slumped by around $200-250 on fund short-selling. The copper prices, which had declined to $1,794 per tonne in Novemb er, staged a dramatic recovery in December to the current level of $1,902 per tonne. The recovery is also an indication that the copper fundamentals still remain sound and resilient.
