Karnataka tobacco sales fetch better prices -- Average rates up 30 per cent
TOBACCO auctions in the Karnataka Light Soil (KLS) region have began on a positive note, following the declaration of a crop holiday in Andhra Pradesh and restriction in the crop size in Karnataka. Not only are the prices better this year as compared to last year, achieving the Government's objective, but the response, both in terms of buying and arrivals at the auction platform, is also much better.
