Alcatel launches mobile phone

NEW DELHI, Oct. 18
TELECOM giant Alcatel has announced the introduction of its new one touch GSM mobile phones in India. The new handset packs more features and is competitively priced.
The latest version mobile phone is also equipped with the latest Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) technology for reaching the world of Web-based services and content.
According to a company release,the short message service (SMS) has been improved on these new phones with a simpler interface and predictive text input software.
