THE question uppermost in the minds of domestic financial market participants now is this: How will the near-certain 50 basis points hike in the Federal funds rate in today's FOMC and very possible prospective rate hikes in the US (with mark et opinion now veering round to the view that the funds rate could peak at 7/7.5 per cent) impact the domestic markets?
